Its hard to believe we have 20 days left of the school year. We wanted to send you and update just letting you know about all the special events we have going on for the end of the year.

 

1. End of the Year Awards Ceremony: June 11 from 12- 1:30

 

2. The 7th grade is going to be doing a single elimination kickball tournament by homeroom to celebrate a successful year. We will start the tournament on June 2nd. We are ending the tournament with a championship game on June 12th. After the tournament, we will have a grade level pizza party. We are asking each student to bring $2 by May 23rd. This will get each student 2 pieces of pizza, chips, and a drink.

 

To go along with the kickball tournament, we are going to create shirts that the students can decorate. We will decorate shirts on 5/29 during study hall. Students in Mr. Truran's homeroom will need tie-dye shirts, and students in Mrs. Tucker's homeroom with need teal. Students are not required to bring a shirt or supplies to decorate, we just thought it would be fun for this friendly competition. We are encouraged to wear our homeroom colors when we play and on the day of the championship.

 

3. Our 4th Quarter Team Celebration will be June 11th in the morning before the awards ceremony. We are going to do cake, drinks, and a movie to celebrate our success. If you would like to donate to help fund this event, please let Mrs. Tucker know.

 

4. On Monday, June 9th, we will have our 4th Quarter PBIS Celebration. Students will attend a poetry slam that is being put on by the language arts department in the morning, and then we will have Kona Ice come to finish off our afternoon outside. The prices for Kona Ice are listed below:

 

$2- kiddie Kona

$3 - regular kona

$4- king kona with flower lei

$5 color-change cup with $3 refills, anytime
